Williamsport - Louis V. Clem, 73, of Rt. 1, Williamsport, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in his home. He had been in failing health for three years. Mr. Clem was a life resident of Kent Township where he farmed until retirement in 1971. He was a member of State Line Christian Church and was a graduate of West Lebanon High School. Born Nov. 8, 1902, in Warren County, he was a son of Louis and Fannie Vinson Clem. He was married to Pauline Elizabeth Meade on June 17, 1936. She died June 15, 1960. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Phyllis) Hughes of Frankfort; two sons, Wayne of Rt. 2, Covington, and Warren of Rt. 1, West Terre Haute; a brother, Paul of Rt. 2, Williamsport; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with the Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home.
