West Lebanon - Mrs. Faye Robertson Clem, 84, a resident of West Lebanon since 1958, died 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, in Community Hospital in Hoopeston, Ill., where she had been a patient four days. Mrs. Clem was born Feb. 1, 1884, in Vermilion County, Ill., north of State Line, the daughter of Jacob and Melissa Brittingham Robertson. She was married March 1, 1903, to Thomas Clem, who preceded her in death Feb. 29, 1968. She was the last of a family of five children. She had been a member of State Line Methodist Church 75 years. She was a life resident of the State Line community until 1958 when she moved to West Lebanon. She attended Vermilion County, Ill., School, and John Greer College in Hoopeston. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Zola) Lemming of Lafayette and Mrs. Fred (Marguerite) Carter of Hoopeston; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by one daughter and one grandchild. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday and Wednesday evening. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the State Line Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery.
West Lebanon, Ind. - Mrs. Faye Robertson Clem, 84, of West Lebanon, died at 10 a.m. yesterday (March 18, 1968) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient four days. She had lived in the State Line area all of her life until moving to West Lebanon in 1958. Born Feb. 1, 1884, in Vermilion County, Ill., northwest of State Line, she was a daughter of Jacob and Malissa Brittingham Robertson. She was married March 1, 1903, to Thomas L. Clem who preceded her in death Feb. 29, 1968. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Zola) Lemming of Lafayette and Mrs. Fred (Marguerete) Carter of Hoopeston; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was the last survivor of a family of five children. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and a granddaughter. She attended Vermilion Counbeth Seiock, and Miss May Ro-College in Hoopeston. Mrs. Clem was a member of the State Line Methodist Church for 75 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. (EST) Thursday at the State Line Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the West Lebanon Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. Friends will be received at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington after 4 p.m. Wednesday and Wednesday night.
