Crawfordsville—Everett F. Clayton, 67, 408 S. Walnut St., Crawfordsville, and formerly of Alamo, died at 10:14 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1989 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. He was born Sept. 4, 1921 in Indiana, the son of Clyde and Nina Taylor Clayton. He was married Aug. 21, 1943 to Margaret Miller, who survives.
He had been employed in the construction business as a hodcarrier and was a member of the Laborers’ Union. He was educated in Indianapolis schools.
Surviving, besides his wife are his mother; two sons, Bill, Danville, Ind., and Roy, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Robin Hines, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. May Day, Veedersburg; a brother, William, Park Forest, Ill.; two sisters, Frances Benford, Crawfordsville, and Carrie Lee, Vilas, N. C., and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
