Funeral services for Mrs. Mary S. Morgan Claypool, age 52, of Miami, Fla., a former resident of Covington and Danville, Ill., and foster sister of Luke Morgan, 416 Johnson St., who died Sunday, March 3, in a Miami hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Old Union Church of Christ, northwest of Danville. Eugene Houpt will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the Lanham Funeral Home at Potomac, Ill., from 7 to 9 p.m. today, March 6. Mrs. Claypool was born Sept. 28, 1910, in Covington, a daughter of Harry and Vannie Royce Smail. She was reared by foster parents, Charles and Nancy Morgan. She was married Feb. 16, 1946 to Ira Claypool who survives. Also surviving are: one brother, Willard Smail of Rockville, Conn.; a foster brother, Luke Morgan of Covington; and a foster sister, Mrs. Virgia Morgan LieuRance of Kingman, Ariz. Mrs. Claypool was a member of the Old Union Church.
