Mellott - Mrs. Lesa R. Claypool, 93 of Mellott, died Thursday morning in Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient or five years. Born Sept. 21, 1885, at Mellott, she was a daughter of William F. and Katherine Strader Johnson. She was a life resident of Mellott, a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ and had attended schools in the Mellott community. Surviving are two sons, Robert W. and Don L., both of Mellott; two granddaughters, Roberta Ann Claypool of New Orleans, La., and Mrs. Donna Sue Coates of Crawfordsville; and a cousin, Pete Thorne of Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with the Rev. Robert Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.
