Veedersburg – Fredrick Joe Clawson, 63, of Lion Manor at Veedersburg died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the VA Hospital at Danville, Ill.
Mr. Clawson was a retired machine operator. He was a veteran of World War II.
Born Sept. 5, 1917, at Veedersbury, he was a son of James A. and Stella Sheets Clawson.
Surviving are eight brothers, Albert, Billy and Dale of Veedersburg, Glen of Hillsboro, Jack of Waynetown, Jerry of Missouri, James of California and Robert of Danveres, Ill.
Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday in the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with the Rev. William Dittner, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Danville, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. ---smc

Fredrick Joe Clawson of Lion Manor, Veedersburg, age 63, died Wednesday afternoon, February 4, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Veedersburg, September 5, 1917, the son of James A. and Stella Sheets Clawson. A veteran of World War II, he was a retired machine operator.
Survivors include eight brothers, Albert, Billy and Dale, all of Veedersburg, Glen of Hillsboro, Jack of Waynetown, Jerry of Missouri, James of California and Robert of Danvers, Illinois.
