CLAWSON, Charles E. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles E. Clawson, 96-year-old lifetime county resident and one of Covington's oldest residents died Friday at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown where he had been a patient for 4 months. For the past 12 yeaers he had made his home iwth a brother, Marshall R (Mort) in Covington. He also had spent 12 years in Kansas and Tennessee. He was born July 19, 1856 in Fountain County son of George S. and Mary A. Mewmaw Clawson. Surviving are two brothers, Marshall with whom he had made his home and William of Rob Roy, and sevearl nieces and nephews. He was preceded by 3 sisters and a brother. Funeral services were Monday with burial in Beulah Cemetery near Rob Roy.
