Lewis E. Clarkson, 75, lifelong farmer, died at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at his home three miles west of New Richmond. His death followed a five months' illness with a complication of diseases. Mr. Clarkson was born Nov. 14, 1863, near New Richmond, the son of Joseph and Amanda Harlow Clarkson. He married Ida DeHaven on May 4, 1900 at Covington, who survives. An infant son preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Clarkson residence in charge of the Rev. Mr. Stetson of Wingate. Burial was made in the Wingate cemetery. New Richmond, Feb. 26 - Louis Clarkson, 75, died at 10 o'clock this morning at his farm home, three and one half miles west of here. Mr. Clarkson was born on the farm where he died, and in 1900 married Ida DeHaven. He had attended the local schools, and his entire life was spent at his farm home. The wife is the only survivor. Friends may call at the family residence after 10 o'clock Monday morning. Services, in charge of the Proffitt & Son funeral home, of Crawfordsville, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the residence, the Rev. Mr. Stetson officiating. Burial will be in Wingate Christian cemetery.
