Covington - Ralph E. Clark, 80, of Covington, Ind., died at 8:0 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 8, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient four hours. He was born March 25, 1893 in Fountain County, Ind., the son of Nathaniel and Rosetta Hershberger Clark. He married Marie Sutton on Dec. 24, 1920, and she survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Maridith (Alice) Compton of Indianapolis, Mrs. Gerry (Susan) Grady of Covington and Miss Janet Clark at home; four sons, Robert of Bethany, Okla., Kelly of Covington, William of Anniston, Ala., and James of Danville; a sister, Mrs. Florence Bowers of Crawfordsville, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Mr. Clark, a former resident of Stone Bluff, Ind., was a carman for the C&EI railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He also was a member of the Covington United Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Ernest Moore will officiate with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
