COVINGTON — Hazel Clark, 84, of Covington, died today in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irma Sherman of Covington. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She had lived at Covington since 1952. She was born in Piott County, Ill., on July 1, 1892, a daughter of John and Flora Warren. She married Arla Clark on Dec. 25, 1915. He died in 1949. Surviving besides the daughter are a sister, Mrs. Lidia Martin of Bloomington, Calif.; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and five sisters. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery near Marshfield, Ill. Friends may call at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here after 2 p.m. Sunday. - waw

Mrs. Hazel Clark, 84, died at 3 a.m., Dec. 30, 1976, at the home of her daughter in Covington.

  A former resident of Mahomet, Ill., Mrs. Clark resided in the Covington area since 1952. She was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church of Covington.

  Born July 1, 1892, in Piatt County, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Flora Warren. She married Arla Clark on Dec. 25, 1915, in Mansfield, Ill. He died in April 1949.

  She was also preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and five sisters.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Erma Sherman with whom she resided; a sister, Mrs. Lidia Martin of Bloomington, Calif.; several nieces and nephews, six grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

  Services were at the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Covington. The Rev. Joseph Sherman officiated and burial was in the Mansfield Cemetery south of Mansfield. - thanks so much to S (Walt above and S were both so amazing helping with the obits on this site)
