New Richmond - A former New Richmond resident, Mrs. Mabel Clapp, 75, of Oakwood, Ill., died Sunday in Lakeview Memorial Hospital at Danville, Ill. Surviving are a brother-in-law, Merrill Clapp of New Richmond; a daughter; a sister; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. CST Wednesday in Johnson Funeral Home at Oakwood. Burial will be in Oakwood. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Oakwood - Mrs. Mabel Clapp, 75, of Oakwood Route 1, died Sunday afternoon (Feb. 14, 1971) at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Danville where she had been admitted just minutes before. Mrs. Clapp was born Nov. 6, 1895, in Oakwood, the daughter of Edwin and Martha Olehy Brothers. She married Laurance Clapp Sept. 28, 1915, in Oakwood. He died June 13, 1960. A brother also preceded her in death. Mrs. Clapp was a member of the Hebron Methodist Church and of the WSCS. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Mary Ruth) Grimes of Oakwood; a sister, Mrs. Gertie Hoult of Chrisman; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hebron Methodist Church, with the Rev. Oliver H. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home.
