CHUMLEY, Josephine - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Josephine E. Chumley, 81, Attica, died at 7:50 p.m. Monday, December 19, at Community Hospital in Williamsport.

  Born near Attica August 31, 1902, she was the daughter of A. O. “Gus” and Anna Warner Leaf. On May 28, 1927 she married Hugh Davis Chumley in Attica, who died June 26, 1976. She graduated from Attica High School in 1922.

  Survivors include five sons, Phillip and William, both of Attica, Leland of Ladoga, Thomas of Covington, and Franklin of Mount Clemens, Michigan; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

  Services were conducted today (Thursday) at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. The family requested that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Assembly of God Church in Attica.
