Sidell, Ill - John N. Cheney of Sidell, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday Feb 15, 1988 at his home. He was born Feb 7, 1916 in Sidell, a son of Lester and Lula McKee Cheney. He married Ruth Wienke April 12, 1946 in Covington, Ind. She survives. Also surviving a son Nathan and a daughter, Ann; 4 grandchildren; two sisters, Lorrain Olson of Milford and Betty Ferber of Zephyrhills, Fl. He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and two sisters. Mr. Cheney had farmed in the SIdell area all of his life. Public funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Carington FH in Fairmount; officiating Rev. Carl Fox; burial Woodlawn Cem at Indianaola. There will be no visitation.
