Veedersburg, Ind. - Mrs. Edith Chelan, 89, died at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday (June 10, 1970) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been in ill health several years. She was the daughter of James and Sarah Gressmire. She was married to Fred Chelan, who died in January of 1967. Mrs. Edith Chelan was a retired school teacher of the Veedersburg schools. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. EDT Friday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
