COVINGTON, Ind. - Theodore E. Chase, 64, of Covington Route 2, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday (Sept. 22, 1969) at Mercy Hospital in Urgana. Mr. Chase was born on March 10, 1905, in Windsor, a son of Ward and Tone McQueen Chase. He was married to the former Annis Cavey on Sept. 23, 1923. On Aug. 19, 1950, Mr. Chase married the former Clara Slade Peterson. She survives. Mr. Chase resided in Windsor until he moved to Champaign in 1941. From Champaign, he moved to Rantoul in 1953, and then to Covington in 1958. A former shop foreman for the Buick Motor Co. in Champaign, Mr. Chase was a member of the Champaign Church of Christ and the Rantoul Moose Lodge. In addition to his wife, Mr. Chase is survived by his mother; one daughter, Mrs. James (Helen) Agers of Champaign; three step-children, Mrs. Max Richards of State College, Pa., Mrs. Charles Berry of Lakewood, Calif., Davey Peterson of Champaign; one grandchild; 11 step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a son and a brother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Owens Funeral Home in Champaign, with the Rev. A. F. Tuck officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. - jlr
