Geneva 'Ginny' Chamness, 79, Marshall, died 8:40 p.m. Saturday in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Mrs. Chamness was the retired manager of Cherokee Village, Marshall. Her memberships included Marshall Federated Church. She was a graduate of Veedersburg High School. She was born May 26, 1924, at Fountain County, to Everett and Ola Wright Ratcliff. She married Eldon Chamness Jan. 8, 1952, at Bloomingdale. He survives. Other survivors include son Eric Chamness, Ennis, Tx.; daughter Ginger M. Wilson, Rockville; two brothers, James Ratcliff, Covington and Charles Ratcliff, Veedersburg; and four grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Gooch Funeral Home, Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall.
