KINGMAN — Ada Mary Chafin, 76,
						Kingman, died Saturday, May 13, 2006 in Saint Claire Hospital, Crawfordsville.
						She was born Nov. 25, 1929 in Lafayette, the daughter of Foster and Sara Bell
						(Atnip) Scott. She married Lee Chafin July 3, 1947, he survives. She had
						resided in Lafayette until moving to Kingman 13 years ago. She worked as a cook
						for Harrison High School for 14 years. She also was owner/operator of Chafins
						Citgo in Battle Ground and worked with her husband at the Chafin Hardesty
						Garage in Battle Ground. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies
						Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bunco, bingo, and camping. Survivors, besides
						the husband, include: a daughter, Cathy (Karl) Childers, Lafayette; three sons,
						Lee “Skip” Chafin, Jr., Lafayette, Zach (Cheryl) Chafin, Greenhill, and Michael
						(Patty) Chafin, West Lafayette; two sisters, Freida Hunt and Fuzzy (Bob) Yates,
						both of Delphi; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded
						in death by her parents; a brother, Gabe Scott; and a sister, Evelyn Waples.
						Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Hippensteel Funeral
						Home, Lafayette. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial
