Cates, Ind Jan 6 – Pryor Cates, age 90, a former member of the state legislature from Fountain County and postmaster of Cates is dead at his home here. He was a captain in the civil war, a member of the 63rd Indiana volunteer regiment. He was born in Orange County June 7, 1838. The widow and the following children survive: Mrs. Etta Bailey, Memphis, Tenn; HV Cates of Amarillo Tex; Mrs . Hazel Bair, Tillman, Okla; William E. Cates, Miss Bessie Cates, at home; and Schuyler L. Cates of Covington.  Funeral  services will be held Tuesday afternoon. - kbz
