CATES, Lemuel - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Following an illness of several years, Lemuel CATES, 75, died at 6 a.m. Saturday at his residence near Covington. He was born Sept 2, 1867 in Fountain County, son of David & Mary Ferguson Cates. Sevearl years of his life were spent as a grocer in Kansas. Surviving are two daughters: Catherine of Kansas and Ruth of Tex; two sons, Paul Cates of calif and Robert stateioned with the US Army in Boston; 3 brothers, William Cates of Wallace; Millard Cates of Kingman and Prior of Covington; also a sister, Mrs. Emma Barker. Funeral services were held Monday at United Breth Church at Cates. Burial in W. Liberty Cem, near Cates
