Covington, Ind. - Mrs. Ethel D. Casey, 88, of Covington, died at 1:15 a.m. today (July 23, 1974) at Turtle Creek Nursing Home in Lafayette. She had been a patient there three years. She was born Sept. 10, 1885, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Malcolm and Eva Harris Graham. She married Artie LeRoy Casey April 9, 1905. He died Nov. 6, 1947. An infant brother, a son, James, and a sister also preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary A. Wade of Danville, Ind., two nephews and four nieces. An artist, Mrs. Casey painted one of the Fountain County Courthouse murals. She also was active in the Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the DAR, Wabash Valley Daughters of American Colonies in Terre Haute, Ind., and the Wabash River Sketch Club. A member of the Covington First United Methodist Church, she also took part in the DAR Officers Club of Indianapolis, Ind., Fountain County Historical Society, Poets Corner and International Organization of Indianapolis. Services sill be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. George Beatty will officiate and burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Ethel D. Casey, 88, of Covington, died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Turtle Creek Nursing Home in Lafayette.
  She was born September 10, 1885, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Malcolm and Eva Harris Graham. She married Artie LeRoy Casey April 9, 1905. He died November 6, 1947.
  An infant brother, a son, James, and a sister also preceded her in death.
