Danville, Ill.—Mrs. Dexter Allen Case, 91, a life resident of Blount Township, died at 7:02 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 1989 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.

  She was born Nov. 6, 1897 in Blount Township, the daughter of George and Sarah E. Allen. She was married Nov. 27, 1932 in Yorkville, Ill., to Roy L. Case, who preceded her in death June 12, 1983.

   She was one of the pioneer families of Blount Township. She had resided at the family home until recently.

  She was a graduate of Atwood Grade school and later attended Utterbach-Brown Business School in Danville. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Koehn Motors in Danville for 10 years in her early years. She later served as a girls’ 4-H leader for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Vermilion County Home Extension

  She enjoyed reading and homemaking.

  Surviving are a son, William A., Danville; three grandchildren, Theresa S. Case and Mark A. Case, both of Danville, and Donna L. Case, Veedersburg, and three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and one brother.

  Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Herbert D. Smith officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. – thanks to S
