CARWILE, Clara Glover - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington -Clara Carwile, 91 died at 2 a.m. Friday at her home RFD 1, Covington. She had been bedfast for 12 years. She suffered a fall from her bed earlier in the week and broke her hip. Death was attributed to shock and complications. Mrs. Carwile had lived her entire life in Fountain County except for a few years in Missouri and iowa. Born Feb 12, 1862 in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Thomas C. and Elizabeth Yount Glover. She was married to Charles H. Carwile on April 5, 1883. He preceded her in death in 1928. Survivors include four children, Stewart E of RFD 3, Covingtpn; Mrs. Bonnie Heath of Tampa, Florida; Albert and Mrs. Harriet McKinney both at home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the family home. The Rev. Walter Damer will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. -- kbz
