W.B. Carter one of Fountain county's most highly esteemed citizens, passed wawy at his home near Centennial Saturday of apoplexy. Deceased was 76 years old and had many warn friends who will regret to learn the sad news of his death. He leaves a wife, six children, 8 grandchildren and four great grandchildrne to mourn his loss. He was an influential man and had much to do with the progress of his country in the early days. His illness was of short duration death having come as a relief in a few hours after he took sick. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 12 o'clock from the Centennial Church by Rev. Carney of Lebanon after which the remains were laid to rest in it.
