Veedersburg, Ind.—Mrs. Josie Carter, 88,of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, died this morning (June 7, 1974) in a Mount Pleasant hospital.
She was the mother of John Carter Jr., whose wife, Virginia VanDevanter Carter, was a native of Veedersburg, Ind.
Her husband, John Carter Sr., preceded her in death.
Other survivors include two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hillsboro, Iowa, Baptist Church.
The family has requested that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Hillsboro Iowa, Baptist Church. -s
