COVINGTON — Jeremy David Carter, 58, of Anderson, S.C. died Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at his home. Born in Danville, Ill. on August 16, 1943 the son of James David and Helena Riggs Carter. He was a graduate of Covington High School in 1961 and Indiana University. He served in the U. S. Army Reserve. He was a real estate broker and an active member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as an Elder. He is survived by his wife of 36-years Sue E. Price Carter, two sons, Matthew David Carter (Trudy) of Greenville, S.C.; Joshua David Carter (Amanda) of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter Leah Elizabeth Allen (Matthew) of Denver, Colo; one granddaughter, Delaney James Carter; mother, Helena R. Carter of Covington; three brothers, Jay Dee Carter (Peggy) of Ocala, Fla.; Dr. Phillip Lee Carter (Sue) of Phoenix, Ariz; and William David Carter (Susan) of Peoria, Ill. Preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Rachelle Lynn Carter. Funeral services were held October 5 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Stammann officiating. Burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at Anderson. The Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
