John P. Carr former editor of the Fowler Leader and later of the Fowler Tribune died at his home in White County Wednesday of last week from injuries sustained when a team of horses he was driving ran away throwing him out.  A number of ribs were broken and protruded his lungs. Mr. Carr was a unique writer and had a style of his own.  He published a newsy and interesting newspaper. He had a costic pen which he used when he thought the case required it and also a pen tempered with charity which he used when in his judgment the subject deserved it. He was 68 years old and had retired from journalism and was residing on his fine farm in White County which he inherited from his father.
