CARPENTER, Ennocent - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Ennocent L. “Jackie” Carpenter of Danville, Illinois, age 54, died Sunday morning, August 30, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. She was born in Remlap, Alabama, January 23, 1927, the daughter of William and Eva Flossie Hudson Johnson. December 20, 1945, she married Clifton Carpenter, who survives. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of Iris Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and of the Past Worthy Matrons Club.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Donna Ann Mitchell of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Carol Moore of Covington; a brother, Venden D. Johnson of Danville; and three grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Pape Memorial Home in Danville with Raymond Gordon officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Danville. – thanks to S
