William P. Carmichael, former owner
and operator of the Carmichael Gravel Company plant, now the Neal Gravel Company south of
Attica and a former resident of Williamsport died at his home in St. Louis, Missouri December 17th being over 80 years of age. At
one time he owned and operated a stone quarry near the Falls in Williamsport.
He and his family moved from Williamsport to St. Louis in 1912. He is survived by the widow and one daughter,
Miss Katheryn at home. For years he was a director in the Winona Lake Assembly
in northern Indiana and maintained a keen interest in its welfare. Funeral
services were held at the Landis Funeral Home in Warsaw Ind Dec 19 (1944) with
interment in the cemetery at Winona Lake. - kbz
