Attica – Former Attica area resident Lola B. Carlson, 91, died at 6 a.m. Friday in a hospital at Miami, Fla following an extended illness. Born near Attica, she had lived there for a time before moving to Miami 28 years ago. Mrs. Carlson had formerly been a clerk for Vera Hoover at Vogue Store, Attica. Her first marriage was to Theodore Carlson who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Oscar Carlson. He also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Irwin of Miami, Fla and Mrs. Betty Sutherland of Bullhead City, Ariz; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Merle (Esther) Fix of Attica and Mrs. Helen McKinley of Indianapolis and a stepson Marvin Carlson of Hillsboro. - kz

Lola B. Carlson of Miami, Florida, formerly of Attica, age 91, died Friday morning, July 30, in a Miami hospital. She was born near Attica in October of 1891. She first married Theodore Carlson and after his death married Oscar Carlson, who also preceded her in death.
  Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Irwin of Miami and Betty Sutherland of Bullhead, Arizona; two stepdaughters, Merle Fix of Attica and Helen McKinley of Indianapolis; a stepson, Marvin Carlson of Hillsboro; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
  Graveside services and burial were held Monday morning in Riverside Cemetery at Attica with Rev. R. Larry Smith officiating and Maus Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
