Marvin Calisle, 75, a retired farmer, died at 6 am. Thursday at his home one-half mile east of Wallace. Mr. Carlile was a member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge No. 495. Born August 22, 1895, near Lebanon, Ky., he was the son of John Taylor and Ella Nelson Carlile He was married in 1917 to Anna E. Newkirk who died in 1937. On July 5, 1939, he married Mrs. Ina Bever, who survives. Mr. Carlile had resided in his present home for the past 40 years and had been a farmer. He was educated in Kentucky He was a veteran of WWI. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Esther Bryant of Waynetown, Mrs. Bernice Myers of Waveland and Mrs. Barabara Keller of Hillsboro Rural Route; a son, Kenneth of Crawfordsville Rural Route, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Campton of Indianapolis; two stepsons, Glenn Bever of Crawfordsville and Paul Bever of California; a sister, Mrs. Flora Miles of Crawfordsville; 20 grandchildren and 18 great granchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, leonard; three brothers and three sisters. Services were at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral home with Rev. John Stacy officiating. Burial was in Wallace Lutheran cemetery.
