Linden - John Milton Campbell, 67, a carpenter and for 40 years a resident of this community, died suddenly at 7 a.m. Sunday at his home. Born July 20, 1903 at Abington, Va., he was a son of John Henry and Lucy Ellen Campbell. He was educated in the Rob Roy community and attended the United Brethren Church at Stone Bluff. He was married at Sterling on Aug. 7, 1924 to Emma Sowers, who survives. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Jeanette Miller and Mrs. Martha Vail of Linden and Mrs. Marjorie Spall of Logansport; six grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Campbell of Lafayette and Robert Campbell of Attica; two sisters, Margaret Campbell of Lafayette and Mrs. Edna Bennett of Linden, and nieces and nephews. A sister and brother are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Helms Funeral Home with Rev. George Irwin of Cedar Lake officiating and burial in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
