Freida M. Campbell, 87 of Cates, Ind, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday in Covington Manor Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient since 1980. Born Feb 10, 1901 in Stringtown in Fountain County she graduated from Perrysville HS and received a teaching certificate from Valparaiso University.  She formerly lived in Danville, Ind, Monon, Twelve Mile and Dayton before moving to Cates in 1937. She was an elementary school teacher at Stringtown, Rabb and Cates schools retiring in 1962. She was a member of Cates Community Church and Indiana State Teachers Association. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Eileen) Parker of Indianapolis and Mrs. Lila Lubker of Roswell, NM; and one son, Robert W. Campbell of Anderson. Services will be Tuesday in Covington. - kbz
