Veedersburg - Mrs. Carrie Campbell, 84, a life resident of Veedersburg, died Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy Hunt, one mile west of Veedersburg. Born in Veedersburg on Sept. 24, 1869, she was the daughter of George and Mary Wilkins Vinson. On March 17, 1888, she was married to Franklin Campbell. She was a member of the Osborne Prairie Christian Church. Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Hunt; two sons, Bryan of Indianapolis and Wilbur of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Osborne Prairie Christian Church. Rev. Guy Walters will officiate, and burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding services. Friends may call at the Hunt residence after Tuesday morning.- kbz

Mrs. Carrie Campbell, a native of Fountain County and of the Veedersburg community, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Hunt west of Veedersburg. She was 84 at the time of her death.  Mrs. Campbell was born Sept 24, 1869 near Veedersburg a daughter of George and Mary Wilkin Vinson.  She was married March 17, 1888 to Franklin Campbell who preceded her in death in 1929.  Surviving is the daughter, Mrs. Roy Hunt; two sons, Bryant of Indianapolis and Wilbur of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Osborn Prairie Church where the funeral services and burial was conducted by the Rev. Guy Walters on Wednesday afternoon.

Carrington Campbell, daughter of George and Mary Jane Wilkins Vinson was born Sept 24, 1869 in old Chambersburg.  She was the youngest and last of a family of several children and passed away Feb 21 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Hunt.  Her grandfather Zephinah Wilkins and her mother were Christian Church ministers in this locality for many years. She united with the Osborne Prairie Church June 19, 1886 at age 17 under the ministry of JT Phillips. She was a very active member of this church.  March 17, 1888 she was united in to Franklin S. Campbell at the home of the late George Minnick.  To this union was born four children: Wilbur S. Campbell oof Hillsboro Bernice Campbell Hunt of Veedersburg and Bryan J. of Indianapolis and an infant daughter deceased. Mrs. Campbell lived most of her life in Fountain County.  She was a member of the WSCS of the Methodist Church in Covington while living there. Besides the daughter and two sons she is also survived by 13 grandchildren and a host of friends.  Sometime, some day our eyes shall see The faces kept in memory Some day their hands will clasp our hands Just over in the morning land. – kbz
