VEEDERSBURG — Charles L. Calvert, 60, Veedersburg, died at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Ill. He was born April 8, 1947 in Anderson, the son of Charles and Theda (Keller) Calvert. He married Vicki Abbott July 30, 1966 in Noblesville. She survives. He cherished the time he had to spend with his family. He worked at TeePak in Danville, Ill. for over 30 years and in his spare time he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop. He also loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. Survivors include: three daughters, Melissa Ritter and Michelle (Shane Burmeister) Calvert, both of Veedersburg, and Cheri (Ty) Minick, Kingman; two sisters, Pauline Daily, Anderson and Janet Daggett, Ark.; two brothers, Paul Calvert, Anderson and Danny (Stacy) Fox, Williamsport; four grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Calvert; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Burmeister. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association and the Diabetes Association. – jlr
