PERRYSVILLE, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Mamie Pearl Byrd, 87, of Perrysville Route l died at noon Friday (July 4, 1975) at the Americana Nursing Home in Danville, Ill. She was born Oct. 3, 1887, in Middletown, Ind., the daughter of Edward and Sara Elizabeth Alger Elkins. She married Joseph Harry Byrd, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, James Filler of Danville and Sherman Byrd and Robert Byrd, both of Perrysville Route 1; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers, , and sister. She had been a resident of the Perrysville area since 1937 and was a former resident of Vermilion County, Ill. She was member of the Perrysville Nazarene Church and was a former member of the Perrysville Chapter 302 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her hobby was enjoying children. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Gary Nelson will officiate and burial will be in the State Line Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. --typed by: JR
