John R. Butts, 85-year-old retired NY Central maintenance employee died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. A native and former resident of Hillsboro, he had been a Danville resident 15 years, living at 6 Pine Street. He was a son of Napoleon and Elvira Bailey Butts and was born Oct 16, 1882. Mr. Butts was a member of New Liberty Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Ellia G. Butts, 3 sisters, Mrs. Clifford Bunnell of Waynetown, Miss Edith M. Butts of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Ruth Hanley of Chicago. A brother and three sisters are deceased. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Thursday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home here with Rev. Myron Hinton of Wayentown officiaiting and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
