BUTLER, Lavernia

Darlington – Mrs. Lavernia M. Butler, 60, widow of George T. Butler and a resident of Darlington most of her life, died in Robert W. Long Hospital, Indianapolis at 3 p.m. Saturday.  She had been in failing health for a year.  Born at Portland, ore she was married at Jamestown in 1909.  Her husband died in 1951 and since that time she had been living at Lebanon.  She was a member of Yountsville Methodist Church.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Sephenson, Lebanon, her father, Charles Hedge Newtown; two sisters, Mrs. Harriett Eichelberger, Oxford and Mrs. John Pierce, Newtown; two half-sisters, Mrs. Geneva Delbridge, Oakland, Calif and Mrs. Lola Perkins, Aktron, Ohio and two half brothers, Emanuel Hedge living in Georgia and Leslie Hedge, Indianapolis.  The body will be sent here.   ---transcribed by kbz
