- Morris Bush, 75, retired laborer, died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday at his home in Lodi, where he had spent most of his life. He had been ill of a kidney ailment a year.
- Mr. Bush was born Feb. 28, 1873 in Vermillion County, the son of George and Elizabeth Bush. He was married March 15, 1896 to Mary Caruthers, who survives. He was a member of the Christian Church.
- Besides the widow, he leaves four sons, Charles, Richard and Russell of Lodi and Joseph of Montezuma; two stepsons, V. F. Stakely of Silverwood, and Alfred Stakely, Harvey, Ill.; twenty five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lodi Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Hubble officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery with Watson’s Funeral Home in charge.
