Funeral services for Clara E. Burkhalter, 90, Williamsport, who died April 23, were held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsport Christian Church with Rev. Joe Shryock officiating. Mrs. Beulah Pugh played favorite selections on the organ.

  Those who served as pallbearers were Kenneth Hillyer, Wayne Hillyer, Larry Crowder, Lee Walters, Rick Deutsch and Dick Deutsch.

WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Clara E. Burkhalter, 90, of N. Monroe, Williamsport, died at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday (April 23, 1975) at the Meadow Heights Nursing Home. Born Dec. 23, 1884, in Stone Bluff, she was the daughter of James H. and Anna Perrin. She was married to Clarence Burkhalter, who preceded her in death. A resident of Williamsport most of her life, she was an elementary school teacher in Montgomery, Fountain and Warren counties for 23 years. Mrs. Burkhalter was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church and Indiana State Teachers Association. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsport Christian Church. The Rev. Joe Shyrock will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Friday at the Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport. --waw
