Covington - Lee Bunnell, 86 of Rt 3, Covington, a member of Carpenter's Union at Crawfordsville and retired construction worker died at 3 a.m. today in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Ill. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Bunnell had lived at Attica before moving to rural Covington address 10 years ago. He was born November 9, 1894, a son of James Alfred and Betty Foster Bunnell. He was married to Ruby Whitaker in 1921 at Mellott. She survives. Also, surviving are a son, James of Veedersburg; a daughter, Marcelina Payne of Covington; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

Lee Bunnell, 84, of Covington Route 3, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 1979 at Danville. He had been a patient several days and ill several years.
He had been a carpenter, retiring from construction in 1960.
He was a member of Carpenters Local of Crawfordsville.
A resident of Covington Route 3 for 10 years, he had formerly resided near Attica.
Born Nov. 9, 1894, in Montgomery County, he was the son of James A. and Betty Foster Bunnell. In 1921 at Mellott, he married Ruby Whitaker, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, James of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Marceline Payne of Covington; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
