ATTICA — Betty Alice (Thomas) Bunch, 92, 804 Park Avenue, Attica, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. She was born July 20, 1908 in Cave City, Ky., the daughter of Smith R. and Florence Emberton Thomas. She married Virgil Bunch Sept. 14, 1929 in Glasgow, Ky. He preceded in death Oct. 10, 1994. She formerly lived in Mt. Herman, Cave City and Glasgow, Ky. and attended the Lee Seminary in Cave City. She had resided in Attica for over 40 years. She had worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for 11 years and was a homemaker. She attended Attica Free Methodist Church. Survivors include: two sons, James R. (Cheryl) Bunch, Attica and Douglas C. Bunch, Indianapolis; a daughter, Oleda (Charles) Murphy, Cincinnati, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ersie Wilson; a son, John Elvin Bunch; three brothers; four sisters and a great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Marcos Gilmore officiating. Gravesite services and burial will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Cave City Cemetery, Cave City, Ky. Memorial contributions may be made to the “Dollars for Scholars” at Attica High School. – jlr
