Covington, Ind.—Miss Helen Bumgardner, 82, 513 7th Street, Covington, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday (Feb. 17, 1975) at 1200 N. 6th Street, Terre Haute where she had resided for the past three years.
She had resided in Covington 15 years and many years in the Clinton area. She had been ill for five years.
Born Feb. 10, 1893, in Vermillion County, she was the daughter of Will S. and Libba Ora Myers Bumgardner.
Survivors include two brothers, Leon D. of Pontiac, Michigan, and Paul of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
She was a member of the 7th Street Church of Christ in Covington.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 20) at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington. Officiating was Carson B. Spivey. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends were received after 5 p.m. (Feb. 18) at the Frist Funeral Home in Clinton and after 2 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 19) at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington. – s
