Voyle Buckley of Attica, age 71, died Tuesday, April 6, at her home. She was born near Rainsville, January 22, 1911, the daughter of Seymour and Bessie McKinzie Rhode. June 6, 1937, she married Harold M. Buckley, who died October 12, 1980. Mrs. Buckley was a member of Attica First Methodist Church and an honorary member of Tri Kappa. A graduate of Attica High School, she attended Indiana University and taught school for 36 years.

  Survivors include a son, Michael Buckley of Attica; a sister, Maxine Galloway of Attica; a brother, Otis Rhode of Attica; and two grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S

Attica - Mrs. Voyle Buckley, 71 died Tuesday in her home at 127 Ruby Rd, Attica.

Born near Rainsville in Warren County she had lived there and at Pine Village for a time and attended Pine Village High School.  She was a 1926 graduate of Attica HS and also had attended Indiana University.  A schoolteacher and Attica resident most of her life, she taught here 20 years and in Logan Township 16 years.  Her marriage was in 1937 at Crawfordsville to Harold M. Buckley.  He died in 1980. Mrs. Buckley was a member of First United Methodist Church at Attica and an honorary member of Trip Kappa Sorority. She also was an avid golfer.  Surviving are a son, Michael Buckley; one sister, Mrs. Lowell (Maxine Galloway and a brother, Otis Rhode all of Attica. - kbz

Buckley, Mrs. Voyle - Friends will be received at Maus Funeral Home, Attica 5-9 p.m. Thursday. Service in Maus Chapel 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating.  Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Jimmy and Beth.
