Russell Bryant Aug 7, 1910 - Jan 17 1996 - Newtown -Russell N. Bryant, 85, of Newtown died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been hsopitalized since Dec 15, 1995. Mr. Bryant had formerly worked as officer manager at the Knowles Grain Elevator at Mellott for 15 years and later was head reciever of the C&D Battery Co in Attica 20 years, retiring in 1975. He had formerly lived at Mellott & had spent the past 38 years in Newtown. He was born Aug 7, 1910 at Mecca to Nathan & Goldie Clore Bryant. He married May 24, 1930 in Rockville Ray W. Hancock. She died Aug 15, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (LaVilla - Vi") Kincaid of HIllsboro; a brother, Maurice Bryant of Lafayette; a sister, Lois Coats of Wayntown, 7 grandchildren and 9 great. He was preceded in death by son, Bernie, brother, Boyd and sister, Zelma Clagg. Funeral services are sched 11 a.m. Firday in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Rev. John Like officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
