Veedersburg -- Mrs. Lula Bryant, 76 a resident of the Yeddo community most of her life, died Tues in the home of a son, Raymond Bryant at Hammond, where she had been visiting the past week. Born Aug 17, 1879, in Fountain County, Mrs. Bryant was the daughter of William and Abigail Zackmire. She married William A. Bryant Feb 22, 1902. The husband died March 4, 1949. Surviving besides the son at whose home she died, are another son, Quentin Bryant of WIlliamsport with whom Mrs. Bryant had lived in recent years; a brother, Tine Zackmire of Lafayette; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Celia Gregory of Lebanon; Mrs. Ruby Joyce of Denver, Col; and Mrs. Kate Shanks of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Centennial EUB Church. Burial will be at the Zackmire Cemetery, SE of Kingman. Firends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home until noon Thursday.

Mrs. Lula Bryant, 76, native of Fountain County died Tuesday at the home of a son, Raymond Bryant in Hammond whom she had been visiting. Prior to the visit she had been staying with a son, Quentin in Williamsport. She was born near Yeddo Aug 17, 1879 the daughter of William and Abigail Zackmire. She married William Bryant in 1902 and he preceded her in death. Surviving are the two sons; a brother, Tine Zackmire of Lafayette; three sisters: Mrs. Celia Gregory of Lebanon, Indiana; Mrs. Ruby Joyce of Denver, Colorado and Mrs. Kate Shanks of Indianapolis. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Centennial EUB Church and burial was in Zackmire Cemetery southeast of Kingman. The Fishero Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. – kbz
