Mary E. Bruner, 80 of 308 Oak Street died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital. She was a homemaker and worked at GC Murphy Dime Store for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. She was educated in Georgetown, ill and Byron and Waveland Schools.
She was born Jan 15, 1914 in Georgetown Ill to Charles R. and Cora M. Nevins Cook. She married Alva D. Bruner Dec 13, 1938 in Crawfordsville. He died in 1970.
Survivors include two brothers, Max Cook and Charles Cook, Jr both of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Beverly Robertson and Betty Gobel, both of Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother and one nephew.
The funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. - kbz
