BRUNER, Alva - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Alva D. Bruner, 64 of 308 N Oak St, a retired State Highway employee, died Wednesday morning in Lakeview Hospital at Danville, Ill after a brief illness.  Mr. Bruner was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eagles Lodge. He was a graduate of Waynetown High School.  He was born Oct 15, 1905 a son of John and jessie Hesler Bruner. He was married to Elizabeth Cook in 1938 in Crawfordsville. Surviving are his widow; a sister, Mrs. Vera Bruner of Crawfordsville and an uncle, Forest Hesler.  He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home with Dr. Clarence Strothers officiating. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday. - kbz
