BRUCE, Dorothy Pittman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Dorothy Irene Bruce, 64, of Rt. 3, Crawfordsville, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital. She was a member of Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church, Alamo Order of Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors of America. Born Dec. 15, 1910, at Terre Haute, she was a daughter of John and Ella Boettger Pittman. She married James Cecil Bruce on Sept. 23, 1939, at Covington. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Jeanne) Todd and Mrs. Norman (Dodie) Carver of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Robert (Tommy) Vail of Linden; two brothers, Donald Pittman of Attica and Richard Pittman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Harold Wolverton of Waynetown, Mrs. Mary Jane Walker and Mrs. Ivan Brown, both of Crawfordsville; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
