Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

VEEDERSBURG — Mac W. Brown, 62, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at his farm home five miles south of here. He had been in failing health 13 months and three times had undergone surgery. Born July 18, 1900, near Veedersburg, he was the son of Anson and Stella McCord Brown. He was married June 10, 1933 to Joye Cooper. Mrs. Brown died Jan. 7, 1956. Mr. Brown farmed until his health began failing. A graduate of Veedersburg High School, he was a member of the New Century EUB Church here. He was a member of the Yeddo Masonic Lodge, of which he was a past master, and Shriners of Indianapolis. He also was a 32nd Degree Mason. His only survivors are a stepsister, Mrs. Mary Nemstiel of Muncie and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fishero Funeral Home here. Rev. Mack Reed of Winamac will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard of Veedersburg. Interment will be in the Yeddo Masonic Cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after noon Thursday.  --typed by Walt W

Veedersburg — Funeral services for Mac W. Brown, age 62, a life resident of the Veedersburg community, who died at home at 1 p. m. Wednesday, April 10, were held Friday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Fishero Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Samuel Pritchard officiated. Masonic rites were conducted at the Rockfield Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born July 18, 1900, the son of Anson and Stella McCord Brown. He was married to Joye Cooper on June 10, 1933. She died Jan. 7, 1956. Mr. Brown farmed until he retired because of ill health. He had been ill 13 months. Mr. Brown was active in Masonic affairs, he was past master of the Yeddo Masonic Lodge, and belonged to the Indiana Shrine and Indiana Consistory, both of Indianapolis. He was a member of the New Century EUB Church. Surviving are a step-sister, Mrs. Mary Newstiel of Muncie; and several cousins.  --typed by Walt W
