BROWN, Loyd - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Loyd "Jack" Brown, 78, a former teacher at Kingman died Friday at Fortsville. He was born Nov. 14, 1901 near Tangier, a son of Thomas and Etta Gilkey Brown. He was married at Kingman June 28, 1923 to Josie Carter who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Rex and Ned of Anderson and Tom of Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jean Kincade of Indianapolis; two brothers, John of Terre Haute and Leo of Indianapolis; and three sisters, Mrs. Dora Hunt of Tangier, Mrs. Sally Starkey of Stone Bluff, and Mrs. Ada Cristie of Montezuma. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Fortsville with burial in Fortsville Cemetery.
